About
Engin CAN, born in 1969 in Sakarya, pursued his undergraduate studies in mathematics at Uludağ University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences from 1988 to 1992.
In 1992–1993, he worked as a mathematics teacher at Geyve High School.
In 1993, he began his academic career as a research assistant at Sakarya University (SAU), Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics.
From 1994 to 1996, he obtained his master's degree at the SAU Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences. In the same year, he commenced his doctoral studies at the same institution.
From 1999 to 2012, he resided in Vienna. Throughout this time, he served as a Turkish mother tongue instructor at the Austrian Ministry of Education (BMBF) while simultaneously obtaining his doctoral degree at the Institute of Mathematics at Vienna Technical University in 2012.
In August 2012, he commenced his position as a specialist Dr. at the International Relations Office of Sakarya University. During this time, he played a significant role in the formation of the Erasmus + Exchange Program and the Mevlana Exchange Program, with a particular focus on the latter. Additionally, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences from 2014 to 2018.
In 2019, CAN pursued his academic career at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, namely in the Faculty of Technology, Department of Engineering Fundamental Sciences.
In 2023, he was granted the title of Associate Professor by UAK.
At the same time, he is responsible for
International Relations,
International Student Center,
Erasmus+,
Farabi and
Mevlana Exchange Program
as Institutional Coordinator.
